Where Is Taylor Parker’s Ex-BF, Wade Griffin, Today? Avoided Public View And Sued After Murder Case

The case of Reagan Simmons-Hancock’s murder continued to create headlines for various reasons over the years. The case happened in 2020 when Reagan’s friend, Taylor Parker, entered her house and murdered her to obtain her unborn fetus. While things went as planned, Taylor was arrested when the doctors found that the baby did not belong to her. The matter entered a trial in 2022, following which Taylor received a life sentence.

Taylor reportedly lied about her pregnancy to her boyfriend, Wade Griffin, before the incident. After the baby’s due date passed, Taylor tried to control the situation by finding Reagan on social media, leading to her murder. Following the release of a new Netflix documentary, Maternal Instinct, the case has come into the spotlight once again. While people know a lot of things by now about Taylor and Reagan, netizens are also curious to know where Wade Griffin is today.

Wade Griffin appeared in the latest Netflix documentary

Although detailed information about the case is available in the public domain, Wade Griffin is one of those people who maintained a distance from the limelight after the incident in 2020. However, he was featured in the Netflix documentary, Maternal Instinct. While Taylor Parker was arrested by the police, Wade was observed by the investigators as a person who was made to believe things that were never true. Wade said in the documentary:

“I never, ever wanted anything like that to happen. It was unimaginable what she did.”

As of this writing, detailed information about Wade’s early life, educational background, and more remains unknown. He has been operating an Instagram page that is currently set to private. A few reports have claimed that he is now active as a roofer, welder, and hog trapper in East Texas.

Wade Griffin was dragged into Taylor Parker’s case through a lawsuit

Shortly after Taylor Parker was convicted of murder and kidnapping, Reagan Simmons-Hancock’s husband, Homer, filed a separate lawsuit against the accused and Wade Griffin. The legal documents accused Taylor Parker of reckless and erratic driving with the unborn baby inside the car, which was allegedly owned by Wade. While the baby could not survive in the end, the lawsuit claimed that it was Taylor’s negligent behaviour that led to the child’s death. The legal documents stated that Taylor could not take care of the baby’s safety and did not drive in a proper lane while controlling the speed and vehicle at the same time.

The lawsuit even accused Wade of negligence since he let Taylor use his car despite knowing about her lies for all this time. The court documents stated that Wade should have been well aware of the fact that his girlfriend was a “reckless and incompetent driver” before letting her inside the car. The civil suit was also seeking damages and expenses, including pain and mental anguish, resulting from the former couple’s negligence.

Wade Griffin discovered the crime committed by Taylor Parker at the hospital

Taylor Parker’s pregnancy claims started creating doubts among the family members of Wade Griffin in the beginning. There were a few instances where Taylor reportedly refused to get intimate with Wade Griffin and stayed inside the bathroom for a long time. Taylor was also allegedly using a silicone baby bump to prove her pregnancy in front of everyone. The plan to murder Raegan Simmons-Hancock started at that time when Wade’s family tried to confirm the pregnancy from Taylor, who replied by saying that she would “bring a kid home.”

Taylor executed the plan by reportedly trying to keep Wade Griffin away from her for some time. Taylor first texted Wade from a phone number in the disguise of a customer willing to buy some hogs. Wade had to eventually drive to a place that was expected to take hours to reach. Taylor reportedly took advantage of the situation and murdered Raegan Simmons-Hancock at her house. She then used a scalpel to retrieve the unborn fetus. Shortly after the doctors confirmed that the baby was not born to Taylor, Wade Griffin came to the hospital, where the authorities told him about the entire incident.
