Brooklyn Beckham has claimed his little sister Harper’s visit to his LA home was ‘choreographed’ for the cameras in the latest twist in the family saga

Pals of David and Victoria Beckham have hit back at their estranged son Brooklyn’s latest claims against his family.

It comes after Brooklyn’s 14-year-old sister Harper was pictured knocking on the door of the £14 million LA home he shares with wife Nicola Peltz on Friday afternoon. The teenager is thought to have left a handwritten letter for her big brother when she realised he wasn’t in.

Brooklyn was in fact in New York at the time, but has reportedly claimed Harper’s visit was “choreographed” for the cameras who happened to be waiting outside his mansion to take photos that day.

The meet would have been the first contact Brooklyn has had with his little sister in 18 months. But as heartbreaking pictures revealed yesterday, she was forced to make a lonely trip back to her car for a wasted journey when there was no answer at the door.

Representatives for Brooklyn and Nicola have insisted the circumstances surrounding the visit raised serious questions. They told the Mirror: “That photographers were in place as the letter was hand delivered says it all – this was choreographed for the cameras.”

Now pals of the Beckhams have waded into the family feud calling it a “nasty accusation” being levelled at a “young girl who just desperately misses her brother”.

A source also told the Mail: “It doesn’t take much to understand just how devastated Harper is that her big brother is no longer around.

“Harper took the opportunity where she could. She’s a savvy young woman and she misses him, so she decided she would stop by and see if she could see him. Sadly for her, nobody was at home. She would give anything to have her brother back, to see him and be able to love him as she used to.”

However, it seems the gesture did not sit well with Brooklyn. Sources around the eldest child of the clan dismissed the impromptu visit as another poor stunt from ‘brand Beckham’ that he no longer wants to be a part of.

Earlier in the day, the rest of the Beckhams had put on a united front at David’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, where he was honoured with a star on the famous Hollywood Boulevard.

As soon as the event was over, Harper made the trip to Brooklyn’s in an SUV driven by their chauffeur to try and see her brother, knowing he was just five miles away.

Harper had the support of her parents’ in the move, who are reportedly keen not to come between Brooklyn and his other siblings in the hopes it might lead to them staying close while his issues lie deeply with them.

It’s by no means the only attempt Brooklyn’s siblings have made to reach out to him. From Instagram posts and interviews, Cruz, Romeo and Harper have made it clear Brooklyn will be welcomed back when he is ready to be.

In a scathing social media statement, Brooklyn accused his parents of manipulating his life, trying to sabotage his relationship with wife Nicola and damaging his mental health in their ambition to keep ‘brand Beckham’ churning.

He said: “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family.

“The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into. Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.”
