Back in 2024, Jamal Musiala was asked by a little fan whether he had a girlfriend. In reply, the German soccer star smiled and said, “No.” According to reports, Jamal Musiala is currently single. But as Jamal likes to keep his personal life very private, it is difficult to say whether he is currently dating someone secretly.

Jamal Musiala’s early life

Jamal Musiala was born on February 26, 2003, in Stuttgart, Germany. When Jamal was 8 years old, his family moved from Germany to England because his mom was completing her master’s degree. At the time, the German soccer star didn’t speak much English and mainly communicated in German. Jamal’s mother is very strict, and only after accepted into Chelsea’s youth academy did she allow Jamal to have a cell phone. But she had put parental controls on his cellphone, as he was very young to use a cell phone. Recalling the childhood memory, Jamal once said:

“I got my phone when I was 8 years old. I wanted one before that, but my mum. Yeah, she shut it down. She’s got her master’s degree. She’s a very smart woman. She’s not going to let her 8-year-old kid have an iPhone. Not a chance. But then I ended up getting accepted to Chelsea’s youth academy was going to have to go back and forth from school to training a lot. My mum broke down and let me get a phone. She was quick to tap those parental restrictions, though.”

Jamal Musiala’s biggest supporter is his father

Jamal Musiala’s father played a huge role in shaping his football career. Cherishing a childhood memory, Jamal once shared how his father managed to take a selfie with former Chelsea captain, John Terry. During the same conversation, Jamal admitted it was his father who instilled the love for football in him. Supporting his football career, Jamal’s father attended every match of his. Jamal said:

“My dad caught JT walking around one random day and said, ‘Skipper! Can me and my son please have a quick picture?’ Such a special moment for him, because he was the one who instilled the love of football in me. He was at every single one of my matches as a kid, running up and down the sideline with me. If you see a video from back then, it looks like he’s a referee. But he’s just my dad. He actually used to bring this little white towel with him everywhere and put it in his back pocket, just in case he had to dab off some sweat.”

At the age of 18, Jamal became his country’s youngest player at a major finals when he featured at Euro 2020. When he appeared at Qatar 2022, Jamal became the first teenager to play for Germany at a World Cup since 1958.
