Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer shared a devastating update with his fans on social media as he and fiancée Chyna Mills navigate a personal tragedy
Strictly Come Dancing star Neil Jones shared a devastating update with his fans as he said goodbye to a beloved family pet. The professional dancer took to Instagram as he shared the heartbreaking news with his followers prompting an outpouring of support from his co-stars.
Neil tagged his fiancée Chyna Mills in the upload as he posted a series of pictures of their beloved dog, Crumble. Neil wrote: “Today we said goodbye to Crumble. She may have been small, but she had the biggest personality and brought so much joy to everyone who knew her. She loved cuddles, belly rubs, and being close to the people she loved.”
He continued the sad upload adding: “She will be missed more than words can say, but we find comfort in knowing she is finally at peace and no longer in pain. Sleep tight, Crumble.” Several Strictly stars then commented to send their love.
Karen Hauer wrote: “Oh Neil. I’m so sorry .. so sad .. she was a beautiful little girl sending all the love x.” Gemma Atkinson echoed the sentiment adding: “Im so sorry Neil,” while Tyler West also offered his condolences writing: “I’m so sorry guys.”
Multiple other stars of the show including Shirley Ballas, Carlos Gu, Jowita Przystal and Motsi Mabuse also showed their support by posting broken heart and crying face emojis.
It comes after it was recently confirmed that Strictly will welcome five new professional dancers in a shake-up amid a mass exodus. In May it was confirmed that presenter Emma Willis, professional dancer Johannes Radebe and comedian Josh Widdicombe would make up the three hosts following Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman’s decision to step down.
Head judge Shirley Ballas has revealed she had no idea there was going to be a third person joining the show, but she was thrilled to see all three of them leading the programme.
“I met Josh for the first time this week, he’s a charming chap. Emma, of course, I did Cooking With The Stars with – that’s a seasoned presenter and just a gorgeous lady. And who doesn’t love some Johannes? We all love him. It’s going to be interesting because we thought we were getting two but we ended up with three.”
So far, it has been confirmed that a number of pro dancers will be returning including Neil, Dianne Buswell, Julian Caillon, Amy Dowden, Katya Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Jowita Przystał, Aljaž Škorjanec, Alexis Warr, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley and Vito Coppola.
Despite shock exits for a number of the pro dancers, including Karen Hauer, Gorka Marquez, Nadiya Bychkova, Luba Mushtuk and Michelle Tsiakkas, a new set of five stars will replace the departed dancers.
“I think everybody is going to enjoy the new series. We got five new professionals coming in, some fantastic dancers. All in all, it’s having tweaks left, right and centre and it’s getting a new face!” Shirley told The Sun.
