- American singer Oliver Tree has tragically died in a helicopter crash in Rio de Janeiro after two aircraft collided above an electric vehicle yard.
- DJ and producer Lucas Frota, whose real name was Lucas Brito Chaves, aged 21, was also on board the helicopter.
- Argentinian YouTuber Gaspi, who boasted around 2.8million subscribers, was also on the helicopter at the time of the crash.
- Director Lucas Vignale also died in the crash, as well as pilots Alexandre Souza and Charles Marsillac, bringing the number of deaths to six.
- The helicopters, which departed from Angra and Jacarepaguá and were involved in the collision, were in compliance with regulations.
- Local Civil Police have said they have launched an investigation into the tragedy and have requested a forensic examination of the crash site. In addition to the police, the local fire department, Traffic Engineering Company, Comlurb, and teams from 31st BPM have been working in the area.
