Love and War: Ranbir Kapoor Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal to Shoot for Grand Dance Sequence

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War is shaping up to be one of the biggest releases of next year. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, the film will be released in January 2027. After several delays in the shoot, it is now finally approaching its end, and the trio will be back on set on June 18 for the film’s grandest sequences yet.
A report in Mid-Day states that the shoot is for a song, and it will be done over multiple days. The publication quoted a source saying, “It’s being designed as a spectacle. It was originally to kick off on June 8, but is now starting on the 18th at Royal Palms. The choreography, costumes, and production design have been in preparation for weeks. The scale is enormous, even by Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s standards. Every frame has been meticulously storyboarded, which is why the shoot was pushed by two weeks.”

Carrying the signature Bhansali stamp of immersive storytelling and a visually rich cinematic world, the film is expected to deliver both scale and emotional depth for audiences worldwide. Mounted on a grand scale, Love & War marks Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s most ambitious romantic drama yet.

Meanwhile, a couple of months ago, Vicky opened up about the film during a conversation with Just Too Filmy and said that this collaboration is a dream come true for him.

The actor noted, “It’s on the bucket list of every actor to be a part of a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film. I’ve admired his films, I’ve admired him as a filmmaker… he is truly a unique voice from India,” he said. He further added, “He truly is a master of the craft of filmmaking. I genuinely feel blessed that in just ten years of my career I got to work with him.”

Love & War will release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on January 21, 2027.
