NALGONDA: BJP state vice-president Boora Narsaiah Goud on Tuesday made it clear that there was no truth in the claims of the state government saying the Centre was not cooperating for the development of Telangana.
Speaking at a media conference at Bhongir, he said the Congress government was trying to cover up its incapability of developing the state by blaming the Centre. The Centre was receiving `55,000 crore of tax revenue from Telangana and three times of this amount was being sanctioned to the state in various forms.
Goud pointed out that the Centre has sanctioned huge amounts of funds for expansion of national highways and agriculture sector in the state. He cited the statements of roads and buildings minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on funds from the Centre for road development as an example for it.
