Visakhapatnam: Three members of a family – a mother and her two children (son and daughter) – were found dead on the rail track under suspicious circumstances between Palasa and Talabhadra in Srikakulam district.
The deceased persons have been identified as Gedela Poojitha (Pooja) and her son Kushant and her daughter Deekshita – all natives of the Chalamayapeta locality under Kotabommali mandal in the district.
Pooja was a native of the Bhavanapadu locality in the district, and she married Venkata Rao (an electrician by profession) around eight years ago. The couple has two children. The family members of Pooja alleged that Venkata Rao was addicted to liquor and allegedly harassed his wife. Pooja was also mentally harassed by her in-laws.
The family members of Pooja alleged that Venkata Rao and his family members were responsible for the deaths of the trio, and they raised doubts over the cause of deaths, citing they could be murders.
The railway police shifted the bodies to the Palasa government hospital for post-mortem.
