
Chilakaluripet: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu visited an Anganwadi centre in Linganguntla village of Chilakaluripet constituency in Palnadu district on Saturday.
The Chief Minister, who arrived in the village to participate in the Swachh Andhra–Swarna Andhra and Annadata Sukhibhava programmes, first inspected the Anganwadi centre. As part of the state’s Net Zero initiative, the government is distributing induction stoves and utensils to 44,346 Anganwadi centres at a cost of ₹32 crore. During the visit, he handed over an induction stove and steel utensils to the centre.
He also inquired about the stock and supply of essential items at the facility.
Earlier, the Anganwadi teacher and helper welcomed the Chief Minister. He interacted with them and gathered details about the nutrition provided to children, basic education services, and support extended to pregnant women and lactating mothers.
In a warm gesture, the Chief Minister joined the children and had ragi porridge prepared at the centre. He sat with them, shared the meal, and spent some time interacting with the children.
As part of promoting greenery, he also planted a sapling along with the Anganwadi staff within the premises.
MLA Pattipati Pullarao, District Collector Kritika Shukla, and other officials were present during the visit.
