وأكدت السلطات، أنه نجم عن حادث ولن يؤثر على الصادرات.

وقال وزير الدولة القطري لشؤون الطاقة سعد بن شريده الكعبي: “اليوم أقوم بمهمة كنت أتمنى ألا أقوم بها أبدا، وهي الإعلان عن وفاة 13 شخصًا من العاملين الباكستانيين والهنود، وإصابة 66 آخرين من جنسيات مختلفة.
وشدد الكعبي على أن الانفجار “لن يؤثر على صادرتنا الى العالم بأي شكل.. هذه كانت حادثة وليست عملية تخريب أو (عملية) عدائية”.
