Meghan Markle included the Medicube skin-plumping jelly cream in a list of her favourite beauty products, and you can pick up a 50ml tub for less than £18

Summer is all about that dewy, hydrated and glowy skin, and no one knows how to perfect that better than Korean beauty brands. K-beauty is all about creating “glass skin” with its hydration-boosting skincare products, and one brand that’s become a viral sensation recently is Medicube.

It’s racked up an impressive celebrity fan base already amongst the likes of Molly-Mae Hague and Kylie Jenner, and recently Meghan Markle added her name to the list of stars who swear by Medicube’s affordable products. She recently included the Medicube Collagen Jelly Cream in her Instagram list of “handpicked and curated collection” beauty products, and you can shop a 50ml tub for just £17.99.

Although touted as a cream, the moisturiser actually has a jelly-like formula which is packed with ingredients that not only hydrate skin, but plump it up and reduce signs of ageing as well. The Collagen Jelly Cream contains freeze-dried hydrolyzed collagen which is what gives it its hydrating benefits, plumping up the skin to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

It also contains niacinamide which enhances your face’s contours and boosts firmness, giving your skin an immediate “glass” effect that’s tight and radiant. Other skin-loving ingredients include squalene, elastin and hyaluronic acid, which improve elasticity and your moisture barrier whilst evening out your skin tone.

The texture of the Collagen Jelly Cream is what makes it sink deep into your skin, and it has a lightweight formula which soaks in, hydrating it from the inside out. If you do prefer a more traditional cream formula as opposed to a jelly one, the Dynasty Cream from Beauty Of Joseon is a great alternative.

Also hailing from a K-beauty brand, the moisturising cream is affordably priced at just £21 for a 50ml tub or £39.50 for a 100ml tube. It smooths wrinkles and leaves skin looking dewy, plump and bouncy, with rice bran water and ginseng root water to hydrate and nourish the skin.

You could also pick up the Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid 100 Moisturising Cream for £24 for 60ml, which is ideal for transforming dull, dry skin into a complexion that’s visibly brighter and more hydrated. It contains PDNR, hyaluronic acid and collagen to give skin a smooth, velvety feel and reduce texture and roughness.

However the Medicube Collagen Jelly Cream is not only the most affordable, but it’s been well-praised by beauty lovers at Sephora. With a 4.7 star rating, it’s been praised for how hydrated and smooth it leaves skin.

One shopper said: “Am on my 3rd pot. Excellent product. Leaves skin feeling hydrated with a “Korean glow”. Absorbs well.”

Another wrote: “Worth it. My skin has changed so much using this. My pores are smaller and skin texture has gone smoother.”

One user did say, however: “Bought this after seeing the reviews but I feel it’s not for me as I started breaking out after using so have given it a break might try again and see.”

Whilst another warned: “Doesn’t feel great on oily acne prone skin. Feels really heavy.”

However others were impressed with the results from the Collagen Jelly Cream, with one saying: “Absolutely love this product. The first use I could see the difference and it keeps getting better.”

Another agreed: “I haven’t been using it for very long but I have noticed the improved hydration for my skin. I do find it a little sticky when it is first applied but once it’s been absorbed, it tends to feel less sticky. You don’t need to use a lot of the product so it is very cost effective.”
