Courteney Cox, best known for her role as Monica Geller in Friends, is said to have split up from Johnny McDaid, more than a decade after she and the Snow Patrol star got together
Courteney Cox has reportedly split up from Johnny McDaid. The actress, 62, who is best known for having played Monica Geller on Friends, had been in a relationship with Snow Patrol star Johnny, 49, since 2013 and they announced their engagement over a decade ago.
But on Saturday, it emerged that the pair had decided to call the whole thing off, although insiders have insisted that it was not an “ugly split” at all.
A source told The Mail on Sunday: “Johnny speaks incredibly highly of Courteney. They had a very deep relationship and they remain extremely amicable.
“They are great friends and care about each other very much. This was not an ugly split. They had simply reached a point where they were living different lives.”
According to reports, Johnny is thought to be in the early stages of a relationship and the last time he was photographed with Courtney, who has 22-year-old daughter Coco with ex-husband David Arquette, was in September when they attended the US Open together.
Just a month before that, the pair enjoyed a double date with Jennifer Aniston and her boyfriend Jim Curtis.
