Molly-Mae Hague took to her Instagram stories to share a series of never-before-seen family snaps of baby Midas, which she welcomed with partner Tommy Fury four weeks ago.
Molly-Mae Hague has shared some new, sweet snaps of her newborn baby boy, Midas looking cute as can be. The former Love Island star and partner, boxer Tommy Fury, welcomed their second child together four weeks ago.
Marking the milestone of one month since Midas has been in the world, Molly-Mae took to Instagram to share adorable family photos of the baby.
The first snap sees doting dad Tommy cradling Midas in his arms as he’s seen candidly laughing. The couple’s first child, three-year-old daughter Bambi, looks up to her dad laughing with wide eyes as she sits on his legs.
Over the top of the photo, shared to her stories, Molly-Mae writes: “One month as a crazy family of four,” followed by a laughing face emoji, a white heart and a family emoji.
A second pic shows Midas being held outside, swaddled in a white blanket, blissfully trying to keep his sleepy eyes open in his mother’s arms.
Above his head, Molly-Mae wrote: “4 weeks of you.” A final picture shows Molly-Mae holding her newborn son in a hospital bed.
Tommy looks down at his little boy with his hands held up to his face with expressions of disbelief and sheer joy. “One of the best moments of my life. Will never get over it,” Midas’s mother wrote over the photograph.
The reality star recently shared how she and Tommy came up with the name Midas for their little lad, and it’s not what fans originally perceived.
Taking to her YouTube channel for the first time since her second child’s arrival, she shared the truth about the name ‘Midas’, which is often linked to the ‘Midas Touch’, derived from the Ancient Greek myth of King Midas, who is said to have had powers so that everything he touched would turn to gold.
“We have named our son Midas. His middle name is Thomas and his surname is Fury. So he’s Midas Thomas Fury. We had this name for a boy for quite a few years,” she explained.
“I saw a couple of comments when the name was being rumoured about how the name originates from Greek mythology because there was a king called Midas, and I believe the story is that everything he touches turns to gold, and I do absolutely just love that saying.”
But while Molly-Mae was familiar with the mythology tale, she revealed: “I actually found the name from watching a film called Real Steel.”
While accepting it was a “random” film for her to like, she went on: “But it’s actually such a great film. It’s got Hugh Jackman in it. And it’s a film about robots boxing… And one of the robots in the film that was boxing was called Midas.
“I heard the name and I thought this was years ago. I was like, ‘Wow, that’s a really cool strong name! Midas, I’ve never heard of that before and I just thought Midas Fury.
“I thought, ‘Wow, what a strong name’, and then I mentioned it to Tommy, and he just absolutely fell in love with it.”
Molly-Mae confessed she doesn’t even remember how long ago they’ve had the name in their stockpile, saying it “could have been literally years ago”.
“But that was always our boy name, really, that we stuck with. I’m just so blessed that he’s here and he’s healthy, and we’re so happy.” Molly-Mae had previously come under fire for her admission that it was much easier with her second baby then with Bambi.
She had previously confessed that she found the newborn stage with Bambi tricky. She had described it as “unbelievably difficult and daunting” at the time. She added: “Looking back I can’t really say that there was any part of it that I enjoyed.”
