That may be so. But it’s hard to see them transforming into a winner based on any upcoming deals.
Their trading season might actually be like those old Aqueduct flea markets, where it takes a lot of fancy haggling to extract anything of value. The Mets’ wares aren’t exactly in demand — at least not yet.
