
BOSTON — For David Ross’ four seasons spent as the manager of the Cubs, Andy Green was his bench coach.
And Ross knows Green fully intends to return to his role in the Mets front office after finishing this season as the team’s manager following Carlos Mendoza’s firing.
But he’s curious to see if Green’s competitive nature forces him to consider sticking around in the dugout.
Still, if the Mets managerial job does open following the season, Ross said he’d “love” to get a shot at it.
