It has been known for a while that Olympiacos will sign a few Croatian players this summer.

Today, the Greek club has confirmed its first reinforcement.

Olympiacos announced that it had signed a contract with Konstantin Kharkov, the left-handed goal-getter of the Croatian national team.

A few days ago, Kharkov (29) won the Croatian League with Mladost. He was one of the best scorers of the 2026 Champions League, with 26 goals.

He was the top scorer at the 2020 European Championships in Budapest, representing Russia. He played for Russia until 2021. In the summer of 2022, he gained Croatian citizenship and made his debut for the “Baracudas” at the World Championships in Budapest. With Croatia, he has won gold medals at the 2024 World Championships and the 2022 European Championships, as well as silver medals at both the 2024 Olympic Games and the European Championships.

Kharkov played for Sturm Ruzha until 2018, when he moved to Croatia to join Mladost Zagreb. Between 2021 and 2024, he wore the caps of Jadran Split and Brescia, and returned to Mladost two years ago.

An experienced goal-getter arrives at Olympiacos to replace Gergo Zalanki. The Hungarian said goodbye to the Greek club, and he will likely return to Pro Recco.

Besides Kharkov,  center-forward Luka Loncar will move from Mladost to Olympiacos. Reportedly, Loren Fatovic, one of the Croatian national team’s best players, who has played for Jadran in the last few seasons, has also been targeted by the Piraeus-based team, coached by his father, Elvis.
