Study Tirumala Land Allocation Policy for Yadagirigutta: Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy here on Tuesday asked officials concerned to study the policy adopted by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) in allocating land in Tirumala so that the same could be implemented in Yadagirigutta.

Participating in a meeting to review the development of Yadagirigutta temple at the MCRHRD Bodhi Pavilion here, he said the land should be allocated for Hare Rama Hare Krishna Foundation at market rate.

A policy should be formulated on land allocation to various mattams. A policy with clear rules should be prepared on land allocation to caste groups. Land ownership rights should remain with the temple, he said, asking officials to study the policy being adopted by TTD in Tirumala to allocate land.

Revanth Reddy said a list of those who have come forward for the construction of guest houses on the hill should be prepared. Permissions should be given for the construction of guest houses in phases. Tirumala model should be followed for the construction of guest houses.

Funds should be sanctioned immediately for land acquisition, he said, adding that the report given by the Engineers Committee on the construction of Yadagiri hill temple should be studied and a report should be submitted within a week. A tourism circuit should be established on a public-private basis.
