Caroline Flack’s brother Paul shared a heartbreaking confession just months before his death.
Paul was found unresponsive at his home in Norwich on June 21. Despite attempts to save his life, he died later at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.
An inquest into the graphic designer’s death will take place in October. The Eastern Daily Press reports that a provisional post-mortem was conducted, with his cause of death found to be cardiac arrest due to hanging.
The 55-year-old had made his final TV appearance back in November 2025, where he opened up about losing his sister to suicide. He featured in the documentary Caroline Flack: Search for the Truth, alongside mum Christine and surviving sisters Jody and Elizabeth.
During the first episode of the two-part series, the Flack family come together to visit a bench dedicated to Caroline.
In the moving scene, Christine reveals her hopes to spread the truth about what really happened in the months before Caroline took her own life. Paul then asks his family: “What’s the first thing you think of when you wake up in the morning?”
He goes on to share a sad realisation: “Probably the same as me. Do you think the newspapers and the police do? No, they’ve forgotten about it. It’s not their problem anymore.”
The late TV presenter had come under intense scrutiny in December 2019 after being charged with assault following an incident with her then-boyfriend, Lewis Burton.
She tragically took her own life on February 15, 2020, amid the legal proceedings. She was just 40 years old.
Paul was close to his younger sister Caroline and shared a heartfelt tribute following her death.
Posting a childhood photograph of Caroline, he wrote: “This will be my last post here. May those who know feel shame for eternity. Love you Caroline x.”
