The official White House account has posted an image on social media seemingly poking fun at the Madison Square Garden announcement confirming Taylor and Travis’ wedding
Donald Trump has trolled Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce just minutes after they tied the knot at Madison Square Garden, New York City.
The couple, both 36, wed on Friday evening as Madison Square Garden lit up with pink neon signs that read ‘JUST&T MARRIED!’ Taylor’s publicist Tree Paine then confirmed she exchanged vows with the NFL star.
The pair did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen, Taylor’s publicist has also confirmed. Instead, Taylor’s brother Austin Swift served as her Man of Honour and Kelce’s brother Jason served as his Best Man.
The couple had given little away in the build-up to the ceremony and there was a notable lack of social media posts from guests once they had entered the arena. Singer Camila Cabello, actors Hugh Grant, Ethan Hawke and Jason Sudeikis, and model Karlie Kloss were among the guests.
Just after they said “I do” a billboard outside the venue read “JUST&T MARRIED” to confirm the news. But shortly after a post by the official White House page shared an image of the pink billboards currently outside the arena with the message “Trump is your president”.
Travis and Taylor’s nuptials arrive less than a year following their engagement announcement. The duo thrilled supporters with the revelation in August 2025, posting a collection of engagement photographs on Instagram with the caption, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
When asked about Kelce and Swift’s engagement in August 2025, the President said: “I think he’s a great player, I think he’s a great guy, and I think that she’s a terrific person, so I wish them a lot of luck.”
But before that Trump had less nice things to say about Taylor. In 2024 when Taylor endorsed former Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump was not impressed. He wrote on social media soon after: “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”
