The devastated mum of an influencer who died after a fall from a high-rise building in Dubai has issued a plea to people speculating about her death

The mum of a popular influencer who died after plunging to her death from the 27th floor of a high-rise building in Dubai has issued a desperate plea.

Kauana Bilhar’s mum confirmed the sad news of her daughter’s death at the age of 27. Kauana’s death comes weeks after she revealed she had gotten engaged to partner, Barbara Abrantes. In her final Instagram post, Kauana shared the sweet news alongside a huge bouquet of flowers with their initials and a love heart in.

She revealed her partner had got her a British Shorthair kitten as a present. In her gushing message, Kauana said that “some dreams carry a story behind”.

She uploaded images of the kitten playing in the roses and there was also a snap of the animal beside the pair’s engagement rings. She shared an image of herself alongside the massive bouquet in front of a stunning Dubai backdrop.

Her translated Instagram post read: “Thank you for accrediting our dream when it was already in the process of accrediting. I am completely fulfilled, happy and even more excited about you. I love you.”

Kauana was best known for modelling and her online travel content, with thousands of followers across social media.

Confirming her death on July 7, mum Darla Bilhar said in an emotional statement: “‘There are no words capable of expressing the magnitude of the longing you left behind. Today you are no longer by my side as I dreamed, but you will live forever within me.” She ended by saying: “I love you infinitely, my girl. Until the day we can meet again.”

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the influencer’s death. It’s said they are yet to rule out whether it was an accident, suicide, homicide or femicide.

While social media users speculate over her death, heartbroken Darla is pleading with them to show the respect her daughter deserves at this tough team.

While there were a number of malicious comments circulating online, Darla said: “My daughter deserves respect.

“She can no longer respond to the accusations, the malicious comments, the stories that are being created about her. It is with my soul in pieces that I come to speak out. My daughter deserves respect.”
