
HYDERABAD: The Telangana Pollution Control Board (TGPCB) said it had ordered 53 industries to close or stop production after reviewing 260 units between January and June. The reviews took place during task force meetings, according to a statement. The board said the action followed violations of pollution-control norms. It also issued directions to 118 industries during the six months. Bank guarantees worth ₹1.75 crore were forfeited after industries failed to comply with PCB norms, the board said.
