Shahbad Murder Accused Harassed Minor Girl for Over a Year, Issued Death Threats: FIR

Raj Kumar killed the girl along with her mother and grandmother apart from his wife and two children with a knife and fled in his car.

The Shahbad police booked a case against Raj Kumar under provisions of 78 and 351(2) of BNS read with 12 of POCSO Act on May 16, 2026 based on a complaint lodged by the girl’s mother.

In her complaint, she said that her younger daughter was facing harassment from Raj Kumar, a resident of Dhaivalguda. For the last one year, Raj Kumar was troubling the girl insisting that she speak with him over phone.

Though he was married and had two children, Raj Kumar was continuously following and harassing the girl. The girl is an intermediate first year student in a private college in Shamshabad. While going to the college, Raj Kumar used to obstruct her way forcing her to love him.

Raj Kumar also threatened to kill her if refused to speak with him. Due to fear caused by Raj Kumar’s threats the complainant stopped sending her daughter to the college for the last six months.

Since Raj Kumar’s house was located beside the complainant’s house, he installed CCTVs facing towards her house and has been observing all their movements. On May 16, the complainant took her daughter to appear for the intermediate exam in Shamshabad.

At the same time, Raj Kumar came to the college and wandered near the premises. When the girl came out of the college after the exam, Raj Kumar caught hold of her hand and tried to drag her.

But the complainant went to her daughter’s rescue and immediately left the premises. But he chased them, threatening that he would kill them, prompting the girl’s mother to lodge a complaint with the police.
