
VISAKHAPATNAM: The India Meteorological Department, Amaravati has forecast that the heat wave conditions will continue over isolated parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam for the next two days. The warning forms part of a three-day heat wave spell expected to last through July 14.
Along with the heat wave, IMD has also forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning at isolated places, strong surface winds (squally conditions) over parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema. Hot and humid weather is likely in coastal districts.
While coastal Andhra Pradesh remains under a heat wave warning, Rayalaseema is expected to experience hot weather along with thunderstorms and gusty winds.
Heat Wave is very likely to occur at isolated places over Bapatla, Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema, Guntur, Krishna, NTR, Palnadu, and West Godavari districts during the next 24 hours.
