A man has been found dead outside a partially burnt property in western Sydney, while another man is in hospital under police guard.
Emergency services were called to Wargon Crescent, Glenmore Park, about 12.50am on Thursday, when the man’s body was found outside a property where a small fire was also burning.
He is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged in his 60s.
A 36-year-old man was arrested in a car on Parkes Avenue, Werrington, about 6.45am.
He was treated for minor injuries before being taken to Nepean Hospital under police guard.
Firefighters attended and hosed down a small fire outside the Glenmore Park property.
Detectives are investigating the Glenmore Park scene and have appealed for CCTV or dashcam footage from the area.
