Melanie Chisholm, the former Spice Girl better known as Mel C or Sporty Spice, has said “I do”, making a Spice Boy out of Australian model Chris Dingwall.
The pair tied the knot in an intimate wedding at Country House Cumbria in the north-west of England, a property owned by West End actor Ben Forsterin with whom Chisholm starred in Jesus Christ Superstar, on Saturday afternoon UK time, according to the Daily Mail.
The guest list, of course, was heavy on the girl power (make it last forever, friendship never ends), with Chisholm’s former bandmates Geri Horner (Ginger Spice), Mel B (Scary Spice) and Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) in attendance.
While Posh Spice Victoria Beckham was unable to attend due to her WAG duties alongside David Beckham at the World Cup in the United States, Victoria designed the white, backless wedding gown Chisholm wore down the aisle, according to British tabloid The Sun.
Chisholm, 52, relocated to Sydney in early 2025 when she replaced LeAnn Rimes as one of the coaches on The Voice Australia.
Appearing on the Australian podcast Life Uncut, she revealed the couple first met on celebrity dating app Raya in 2023, while Chisholm was living in London. They later went on their first date while Chisholm was touring down under as a DJ.
“He’s just a real gentle soul. He’s one of those people that just doesn’t get all up in your business, you know? He’s quietly in the sidelines being uber supportive,” she told hosts Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne.
Speaking to this masthead last year, Chisholm spoke of her new life with Dingwall in Australia.
“I am a bit of a workaholic,” she said. “I decided last year, when I met my boyfriend, that I do have an incredible life. My work enables me to travel and I love what I do. It used to be all work and not a lot of play. I am changing that”.
“Bondi is the health capital of Australia, if not the world,” she said. “And being Sporty Spice, it feels like I found my spiritual home. It’s a very natural spot for me to be in.”
Not much is known about Dingwall, a Bondi-based model and filmmaker signed with agency IMG and believed to be in his late 40s.
His Instagram features several pictures of the couple at overseas music festivals, the F1 Australian Grand Prix and Paris Fashion Week.
This is Chisholm’s first marriage, but the star has been involved in several high-profile relationships over the years, including a brief fling with Robbie Williams in 1997 and a long-term partnership with manager Joe Marshall from 2015 to 2022.
Her 17-year-old daughter Scarlett, whom she shares with British real estate developer Thomas Starr, was a bridesmaid.
