Multiple insider reports confirmed Jade Thirlwall and Jordan Stephens have split this week. Sources state that the couple had “frank discussions” regarding their future before deciding to mutually part ways
It was announced this week that Jade Thirlwall and Jordan Stephens have reportedly split up after six years together. While neither the Little Mix star nor the Rizzle Kicks singer have formally put out a public statement, multiple insider reports confirmed their separation. Sources state that the couple had “frank discussions” regarding their future before deciding to mutually part ways.
The pair quietly separated earlier this year, according to reports, despite moving in together and splitting time between London and Margate during their relationship. Insiders stress that the breakup remains entirely peaceful, noting that Jordan remains incredibly proud of Jade’s solo career and that “there will always be love between them.”
A clip of Jordan, 34, revealing how he won Jade over has now resurfaced amid their split. Jordan shared the cute gesture he made for the singer when he appeared on Paul C. Brunson’s podcast, We Need To Talk, for an interview last year.
Jordan said on the podcast that a friend of his said he’d really get along with Jade, 33, so he decided to text them and ask if the friend could “pitch him” to Jade.
The star, from Neasden, London, said his friend screenshotted his message and sent it to South Shields native Jade.
“She popped in and said, ‘What’s your pitch then'”, he said.
Jordan said he ended up making an “awful” powerpoint presentation, because ‘that’s his sense of humour’.
“I went in, and one page was named ‘reasons to like me'”
Jordan said one of the points was that he was ‘more than five friends’ and that he could ‘definitely have more’. He also said that his dog loves him
“She obviously found that funny, and now we’re almost five years,” he said.
Both artists are throwing themselves into their professional projects to help process the transition. Jade is currently preparing for an international solo music tour, while Jordan recently took a solo “spiritual retreat” in Yorkshire to clear his head.
Warning signs that hinted at the couple’s split
Before the news broke, observant fans noticed several major warning signs on social media that the pair had split.
Jordan completely wiped all shared TikTok videos and Instagram pictures featuring Jade from his official profiles. Jade similarly removed traces of Jordan from her Instagram page.
The couple also entirely skipped posting or publicly acknowledging their sixth anniversary, which occurred in mid-May.
The two also have not been seen together publicly since the BRIT Awards. Furthermore, Jordan was noticeably absent from Jade’s Little Mix bandmate Perrie Edwards’ wedding in Portugal.
During an interview about her upcoming second solo album, Jade also admitted that she was putting her current “private struggles” directly onto paper.
