Ant McPartlin recently confessed that he was once left completely embarrassed after a masseuse walked in on him naked while on holiday. Speaking about his awkward encounter, the I’m A Celebrity host, 50, recalled the moment he was caught in his birthday suit on the latest episode of the podcast Belta Box he shares with Declan Donnelly.
Ant, who is a father to a two year old son with wife Ann-Marie Corbett and two stepdaughters, explained that he had been recommended a “really good” Thai massage parlour, near where he was staying with Ann-Marie.
The Britain’s Got Talent presenter continued: “But a friend of ours said, ‘Be careful, when you go there, they come in really quickly’. So I go in and I’m getting changed. The middle door slides open. My wife’s in this one, I’m in this one. She quickly whips the dress off, pops the paper knickers on, jumps on the bed.
“I take my clothes off, I struggle to kind of get all the buttons done on my shirt.”
After a few attempts he said he came so frustrated he pulled his top over his head through annoyance. He continued: “[I took] my strides off, my underpants off.
“So I’m leaning over the bed to get the paper knickers and inadvertently flick the paper knickers off the bed to the other side of the bed. And I’m naked and everything’s hanging out.”
Now naked, trying to put on his paper knickers was not without it’s problems as it was at this point he was running out of time.
He added: “They land on the ground. I’m standing like this to put my leg in, my leg’s up. As I’m doing that, the door opens and [the masseuse] comes in. She can see everything and we just stare at each other for a bit too long. I went ‘not yet!'”
The hilarious anecdote came after his co-host Declan Donnelly revealed that he hit Ant’s stepdaughter’s boyfriend with a golf ball.
Dec explained: “I was 75 to 80 yards from the green. I thought this is a sand iron shot. I thought I’ll just open the club face a little bit and just get under it and just land it gently on the green.
“I open the club face a little bit which would force it right. It happened to be where two of my playing partners were stood.
“As I hit the ball, it went up in the air and headed in their general direction. I shouted “fore right”, which means you should duck. One of them delayed his duck a little bit. He finally ducked and honest to God, you heard as it hit him on the back of the head.”
Unwilling to gloss over the accident, Ant said that he found out about it when he got home and feared his daughter’s boyfriend was in a lot of pain.
Ant chimed in saying: “I heard about this when he got in last night with rubbing the back of his head in a lot of pain. Bless him. In a lot of pain. He said, “It’s all right. You hit the soft bit”.’
Admitting fault, Dec the said:” It didn’t make the noise of the soft bit. It didn’t. I felt and still feel so bad. I’ve never done that before.”
Taking things a step further, Ant then joked that he felt he should check if his daughter’s boyfriend was even alive after the brutal accident. He added: “Should I go and check just to make sure, just “Are you alive? Hello. Are you alive? Are you alive?”
