Police are treating the death of a woman, who was found alongside the body of a man, as murder.
Stacy Mair, 35, was found near Corsliehill Road in Houston at about 07:50 on Monday after police received a report of concern for a person.
The death of the 43-year-old man is still being treated as unexplained pending the results of a post-mortem examination – however police have said there is nothing to suggest anyone else was involved.
Police Scotland’s major investigation team and local officers are carrying out “extensive” inquiries to establish the full circumstances.
