Taysom Hill and Emily Nixon have been married for more than ten years, since 2014. Emily was born July 20, 1992, in College Station, Texas, to Laura and Clair Nixon. She is one of ten children. Her brother David Nixon played football at Brigham Young University and in the NFL.
Emily graduated from BYU and has worked as a financial analyst and accountant. Taysom and Emily first met at BYU. They dated for about a year. Taysom first posted about Emily on Instagram in November 2013. A month after the relationship was made official, Taysom popped the question to Emily at her home after BYU’s bowl game in December 2013.
They tied the knot in April 2014 at the Salt Lake Temple in Utah. The couple has even preferred to keep their romance private. The duo has been the parents of two children. Their first child, Beau, was born in August 2020, followed by another child named Bennett in April 2023. Taysom spoke to Parade on Sept 7, 2023, about his experience with fatherhood and said:
“It’s been a blessing to be a dad. Beau and Bennett keep me grounded. When I come home, football is secondary.”

Taysom included a statement in which he addressed his closeness to New Orleans, stating that it is the place where his son was born and his family got settled down. He said that he even formed some relationships in New Orleans and created a lot of memories.
Taysom Hill said that he is still thinking about his future and his family during the offseason. He further stated:
“I still don’t have a clear answer about what the future holds, but I know that returning to New Orleans is not in the cards. As training camp begins, I didn’t want my silence to be misinterpreted, and as hard as it is to put into words, I wanted to express my gratitude.”
He thanked New Orleans, and said that it has been a wonderful experience, far better than what he had expected. He even thanked his team members, adding that he will remember the relationships he formed with the organisation since they helped him to become a better player and better person at the same time.
