Shweta Tiwari’s personal life is once again making headlines after her ex-husband, Raja Chaudhary, made explosive statements about her. The ex-couple parted ways in 2012 after an ugly legal battle over property and the custody of their daughter, Palak. In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Raja Chaudhary opened up about his decision to take the flat from Shweta Tiwari and give away the custody of their daughter, Palak. Speaking about the same, Raja revealed that the divorce was filed in 2007 and was finalised in 2012, and throughout the hearing, Shweta never bothered to attend.

He also said that even though the court had allowed him to meet Palak at a designated venue, Shweta never brought her there. During the fiasco, Raja was embroiled in many other controversies and cases, due to which he had no place to live as people were not even giving him a space even on rent.

Raja also alleged that the flat in question was bought by his father for Rs. 9 lakhs when he married Shweta. Fed up of the constant tiffs, court hearings, and dates, Raja decided to settle the matter by accepting the flat. In his words:

“Maine kaha yeh wala flat tu dede aur tu rakh bhaiya apna samrajya, apne bacche, jo bhi tujhe chahiye. Meri life se tum… mujhe shanti do yaar.”

Raja also shared that he and Shweta paid the EMIs of the flat while it was primarily purchased by his father. Raja also said that he let go of the rights of all their shared properties, in which he had invested. Revealing how Shweta twisted the narrative, Raja said:

“Arre kahan sacrifice tak ki baat pohoch gayi yaar? Agar koi aadmi apne rehne ke liye aashray dhoond raha hai, ek jagah usse chahiye peacefully rehne ke liye, toh usme kahan se usne kya sacrifice kar diya? Tum yeh do cheezon merge bhi kaise kar sakte ho ki bacchha le ya daulat le?”
