A first look has been unveiled at football legend Michael Owen’s “chaotic” home life.
Prime Video has unveiled a new trailer for a highly anticipated docuseries, Meet the Owens, which follows the personal life of former England striker Michael.
Along with his wife and children, the documentary will see him juggling “juggle a horse racing business while contending with a chaotic home life”.
Since retiring from football, he set himself the huge challenge of running a successful horse racing operation, but family life often gets in the way.
The tell-all trailer shows his nearest and dearest give their honest opinions, with his wife referring to him as a “little s***” while he was at school.

Who is Michael Owen’s wife?
Michael is married to Louise Bonsall, and the childhood sweethearts met in 1984 while attending Hawarden High School in Flintshire, Wales.
They got engaged in 2004 and were married the following summer in Cheshire. Louise is a keen equestrian with a passion for rescuing retired racehorses and she founded Manor House Stables in Cheshire in 2007.
Back in 2004, she hit headlines after being involved in a horseriding accident, in which she fractured her pelvis. She was riding in the grounds of their home when her horse reared and she fell off.

The couple have four children who all feature in the upcoming documentary – Gemma, James, Emily, and Jessica.
The Prime Video teaser says: “At home, he and wife Louise are preparing for life as empty nesters: youngest Jessica dreams of becoming a showjumping Olympic champion; Emily, 18, is trying to become the first Owen to go to university; and James, 20, who has a degenerative eye condition, wants to join the family business.

Gemma, 23, may be recognised for her appearance on the eighth season of Love Island, when she was partnered with Luca Bish.
She finished the series as a runner-up behind Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti. The pair dated for a while after the series but eventually parted ways.
What is Michael Owen’s net worth?
The former striker, who retired in 2013, is said to have a net worth of around £54.4million as of 2025. Following his Liverpool debut in 1997, he was handed a £70,000-per-week contract during the second half of his time at the club.
His fortune has also come from a series of sponsorship deals with all sorts of brands. According to Givemesport.com, his sprawling mansion is worth £1.6 million.
Where does Michael Owen live?
His Grade II-listed Elizabethan manor house is located in Flintshire, north-east Wales. His home, set amongst 42 acres of countryside, previously featured on ITV’s Through the Keyhole.
