Brazil will face Australia in a two-match friendly series in Queensland this September as part of the 2026 Queensland Football Series.

The five-time world champions will take on the Socceroos at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville on September 25 before meeting again at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium on September 29, with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) confirming the fixtures on Thursday

The matches will mark Brazil’s return to Australia and provide Carlo Ancelotti’s side with their first fixtures following the 2026 World Cup.

Having gone out in disappointing fashion, it is the head coach’s first opportunity to rebuild a squad who have struggled to compete at major tournaments recently.

The tour will give Australian supporters a rare chance to watch one of international football’s most successful nations, with the CBF describing the matches as another “important international commitment”.
