A raunchy Russian OnlyFans star narrowly avoided the clink but was slapped with a $60,000 fine and banned from the internet for three years amid President Vladimir Putin’s crackdown on porn.
Sofya Vershinina, 21, was convicted of producing and distributing sexually explicit online videos in court in Moscow, Russia, The US Sun reported.
Amid Putin’s crackdown on anti-traditional values and his war on porn, prosecutors demanded the OnlyFans star be sentenced to three-and-a-half years in a Russian penal colony.
However, after pleading guilty and expressing remorse, the 21-year-old model received a three-year suspended jail sentence.
But her lighter punishment could be reversed if she breaches the conditions of her sentence.
While she avoided doing a stint in prison, Vershinina was ordered to pay a $60,000 fine and is banned from using the internet for three years.
She’ll be unable to run her X-rated digital business or appear online.
Vershinina, who also goes by the moniker Sonya Marmeladova — presumably named after the deeply religious and self-sacrificing fictional young woman in the famous 1866 novel “Crime and Punishment” — reportedly earned over $400,000 selling explicit and promiscuous content, according to Russian prosecutors.
The sexy starlet also sold intimate content on Telegram messenger app while living in a luxe skyscraper penthouse in the Russian capital.
The OnlyFans star’s gold iPhone 16 Pro Max remains seized by investigators but her collection of sex toys and accessories that were previously confiscated for evidence in the case have been returned.
Vershinina is just one of many Russian models charged by the Kremlin after Putin ordered a nationwide crackdown on the state’s illegal porn industry.
Another OnlyFans model, 27-year-old Diana Shurygina, is currently behind bars awaiting trial.
Sources say that Shurygina’s case revolves around the “intimate content” she allegedly sold to paying OnlyFans subscribers, according to The Sun.
X-rated content creator Anastasia Ovsyannikova, 24, who known by the stage name “Nastya Kholod,” was also detained on suspicion of illegal production and circulation of pornographic content.
“Criminal cases have started being launched in Russia for porn on OnlyFans,” The Sun reported, citing an earlier report from the Moscow Times.
While reports say investigators in Putin’s Russia “have taken on the porn industry,” legal experts warn this crackdown could expand further given the president’s enforcement on so-called “traditional values.”
