According to reports, the avalanche occurred on July 31, 2026, and since then, four climbers have been confirmed dead while six still remain missing. She came into the public spotlight through Netflix’s 14 Peaks: Nothing Is Impossible, which followed Nims Purja’s historic mission to climb all 14 mountains above 8,000 meters in record time.
In the Netflix documentary, Suchi Purja spoke about her husband’s ambitious goal and said it was “a crazy idea, but…not a surprise to me.” The film also shows her supporting him behind the scenes while he chased one of mountaineering’s biggest records.
