
A woman allegedly severed her paramour’s private parts after accusing him of sexually abusing her daughter at Drivers’ Colony in Anantapur on Saturday.
The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of One Town police station.
According to the police, the victim, identified as Suresh of Tadipatri, was allegedly in a relationship with Sunitha, who was living separately from her husband with her daughter in Drivers’ Colony.
Police said Suresh, who was allegedly addicted to alcohol, had made inappropriate advances towards Sunitha’s daughter. After the girl informed her mother about the alleged abuse, Sunitha reportedly attacked Suresh.
She and her daughter allegedly tied his hands and legs before attacking him with a sharp object. During the assault, Sunitha allegedly severed his private parts, causing grievous injuries.
Suresh was shifted to the Government General Hospital, Anantapur, where he is undergoing treatment.
Sunitha later surrendered before the One Town police and allegedly confessed to attacking Suresh over the alleged abuse of her daughter.
Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.

Police arrested N. Suresh Kumar (25), a resident of Tiruvallur district in Tamil Nadu. The juvenile is from Bobbili in Vizianagaram district.
The police recovered gold ornaments worth about ₹7 lakh, a gilt chain and `500 in cash. Further investigation is under way.
