Tommy Fury opened up about how he always foots the bill for dinner despite Molly-Mae’s eye-watering net worth as he insisted he thinks like a ‘gentleman’ about it

Tommy Fury has revealed that despite Molly-Mae Hague’s multi-million-pound fortune, she has never picked up the bill for dinner during their relationship. The boxer, 27, made the admission during the latest episode of his BBC podcast What The Fury?! where he was joined by his dad, John Fury.

Tommy and Molly-Mae first met on Love Island in 2019 and, despite briefly splitting in 2024, have since rekindled their romance. The couple recently welcomed their second child, son Midas, and are also parents to three-year-old daughter Bambi.

During the podcast, Tommy was asked: “Is paying for dinner gentlemanly or old-fashioned?” Sharing his views, Tommy said: “I think it’s both. I don’t think Molly’s ever paid for a dinner in her life with me.

“I think the man should pay, it’s a gentleman thing to do, that’s just how I think.” His dad John was quick to agree, adding: “Same here because every time I’ve been in a woman’s company in my life, I’ve always paid.”

Tommy’s comments may surprise some fans, given Molly-Mae is estimated to be worth around £6million thanks to her hugely successful business empire, beauty ventures, fashion collaborations and social media career. The influencer is widely regarded as the most commercially successful contestant to come out of Love Island.

The couple have been enjoying life as a family of four after welcoming baby Midas, with Molly recently giving fans a glimpse into their first holiday together since becoming parents again.

Last week, the influencer shared a series of heartwarming family snaps from a trip to Athens, Greece, showing the loved-up couple making memories with their two children.

One sweet picture showed Molly and Tommy posing by the sea with Bambi and newborn Midas, while another captured Molly feeding her baby from a bottle as Bambi lovingly helped her mum.

Molly also shared a glamorous family portrait, wearing a black slip dress while standing alongside Tommy and their children, before showing off her post-baby figure in a green bikini top layered under a white shirt and linen trousers.

Alongside the photos, Molly wrote: “Athens camera roll. The best days.” The loved-up getaway came shortly after reports claimed Tommy has been quietly rebuilding his relationship with Molly’s sister, Zoe Hague, following their highly publicised fallout.

Tommy and Molly stunned fans when they announced they had split in August 2024, with the boxer later opening up about his struggles with alcohol. However, the pair reunited before welcoming son Midas.

Their relationship difficulties were documented in Molly’s Prime Video series Molly-Mae: Behind It All, where Zoe openly questioned whether her sister should reunite with Tommy, leading many viewers to believe she had little time for the boxer.

But it now appears Tommy is back in Zoe’s good books after she recently shared a rare photo of him cuddling both Bambi and baby Midas – marking the first time he had featured on her social media in some time. A source told The Sun: “Tommy’s priority since getting sober and getting back together with Molly is to win her family back over.

“Her mum was always sympathetic to him but her sister has been tougher. She didn’t hold back on the documentary series about how she thought Molly should move on from Tommy, and that’s on film forever now.”
