They might have claimed they were ‘exclusively dating’ but some of his latest moves aren’t exactly screaming ‘romance’…

Love Island relationships aren’t renowned for their longevity. In fact, many of them can be timed using a stopwatch. However, fans’ hopes that 2026 winners Julia Majchrzak and Lorenzo Alessi were set to go the distance took a wobble today.

After confirming that they were “exclusively dating” and an emotional farewell at the airport having won the Love Island prize with 46.9% of the public vote, Lorenzo has been spotting liking pictures of other girls.

His account was shown to have liked a string of girls’ shots, including two of models in bikinis on Instagram. One fan wrote: “I’m really disappointed Lorenzo damn man u have a girl but you can’t keep ur hands off liking other womans pics on insta, ur so bad wtf!”

It comes after both Lorenzo and Julia spoke about their strong feelings for each other ahead of winning the Love Island final and its £50,000 prize last Monday.

Lorenzo, 28, said he had “never met someone who feels so well matched to me” in a conversation with Maya Jama before the final, while Julia, 26, insisted “he’s moving in with me” after their win.

However, that does not appear to have happened. The pair have not been pictured together since that moment in the airport, in contrast to other Love Island couples, who have kept fans updated about their lives together.

More cryptically, he also posted a picture of two Ferrero Rocher chocolates side by side on his bed beside the pillow last night.

While some reckoned the Instagram likes heralded the end of a very brief relationship, others insisted liking other girls’ pictures is nothing to worry about.

Another group thought the pair – the only finalists never to say “I love you” – were never for real in the first place. One said: “He was never into her. Just wanted to show himself off on tv without looking mean.”

A second said sarcastically: “What a shock! Love Island couple splits five minutes after the cameras stopped rolling!”

Some said liking pictures on Instagram was almost meaningless, writing: “I have never understand the whole thing around not liking posts on Instagram because you’re dating someone. Like its a digital pat on the back. Its totally meaningless. Why is it a big deal?”

Another troublemaker asked of the girls whose pictured he’s liked: “Why do they kinda look like jasmine?”
