Coronation Street star Tina O’Brien’s has shared some snaps with her lookalike daughter Scarlett and her other family members as she celebrates her 43rd birthday with her family.
Tina, who famously played Sarah Platt in Coronation Street, turned 43 on August 7, and shared images of herself celebrating her birthday on social media, revealing that she spent the day dining out with her children and mother.
One snap showed the star sipping on pink champagne opposite her brunette daughter Scarlett, who is 17-years old and Tina’s daughter with her former partner Ryan Thomas – who she was with from 2003 until 2009.
Scarlett shared her own birthday message to her mother, sharing a selfie of the two of them together with the message: “Happy birthday mumma my best friend my biggest supporter my everything and way more. I’d be nothing without you @tinaob83 xxxx.”
Scarlett is currently starring in Waterloo Road as Izzy Charles and is making a name for herself as an up and coming actress, following in both of her parents’ soap acting roles.
Tina also sat opposite her son Beau, who she shares with Adam Crofts, her ex-husband who she married in 2018 and separated from in 2025.
The birthday snaps follow on from Tina enjoying some time abroad on her summer holidays. Earlier this week she dazzled her followers as she posed in a bikini on holiday. The star whisked herself away for a sun-soaked holiday with her co-star, Carla Connor-Swain actress, Alison King, and her daughter.
Tina took to Instagram to share a selection of snaps from their getaway with one image showing the two actresses posing with Alison’s daughter and another overlooking the picturesque harbour.
Tina is enjoying downtime, but it comes at a busy time for her on-screen character Sarah, who is set to embark on a huge new storyline. Sarah is currently in prison for the murder of Theo Silberton.
Sarah previously confessed to police that she killed Theo Silverton – but has claimed that it was in self-defence. The legendary soap character, who has been played by Tina since 1999, beat the scaffolder over the head and sent him tumbling from the builder’s yard roof earlier this year.
In the weeks after Sarah confessed to Kit – her police officer boyfriend – of what she had done, he has been doing everything he can to try to get her off the hook and pin the blame on Gary, Sarah’s ex-boyfriend, but it’s unclear how things will go for poor Sarah just yet.
