Chelsea take on AC Milan in Jakarta this afternoon looking to bounce back from two successive defeats on their pre-season tour of Asia.
Xabi Alonso’s side were beaten by Tottenham, despite playing against 10 men for almost the entirety of the second half in Sydney, and then went down 1-0 to Juventus in Hong Kong.
Alonso continues to juggle a bloated squad but can at least separate his players this weekend with Chelsea playing another game, against Malaysian Super League champions Johor Darul Ta’zim, tomorrow.
Milan are also undergoing a rebuild this summer with former Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim at the helm.
Amorim has already implemented his preferred 3-4-3 formation and so far it has resulted in two pre-season draws, against Celtic in Glasgow and Inter Milan in Perth on Wednesday.
