The mum-of-six previously revealed working out made her happy and relaxed
Georgina Rodriguez has been working up a sweat in the gym amid rumours she’s marrying Cristiano Ronaldo this weekend. The 32-year-old was filmed putting herself through her paces just days before she and the football superstar are reportedly set to tie the knot on his home island of Madeira.
In footage shared on social media, Georgina could be seen tackling a gruelling set of split squats while wearing green leggings, a matching top and white trainers.
Fans were quick to heap praise on the model, with one simply commenting: “Gorgeous.” Another wrote: “Beautiful, diva, wonderful.”
Georgina and Ronaldo are reportedly due to marry in Madeira this weekend, with a ceremony expected to take place in the football star’s hometown of Funchal before celebrations at the five-star Savoy Palace hotel.
This morning, Georgina – who met the footballer when she was a sales assistant at Gucci – also shared a snap of herself enjoying a filling breakfast on a heart-shaped place mat. The couple are yet to confirm the wedding rumours, with fans braced for snaps of them on their special day. Georgina joins a number of celebrity brides to be seen working out before walking the aisle. The mum previously spoke candidly about her relationship with exercise while hitting back at cruel comments about her body.
Explaining why keeping fit is important to her, she wrote on Instagram: “I work out because it makes me happy. Because I’m passionate about it. Because that hour at the gym is one of the best moments of my day.
“It gives me health, peace of mind, discipline, energy, and well-being. It’s never been a struggle to lose weight; it’s always been a way of taking care of myself.”
Georgina also revealed how Ronaldo, 41, supported her after she admitted being worried by body-shaming comments online.
She recalled telling her fiancé: “I’m worried that they’re calling me fat now, because I make a living from my image.”
According to Georgina, Ronaldo reassured her: “You don’t live off your image. You live off who you are. A perfect woman. Beautiful, with a great body, a mother, a good person, successful, and who lives life with love. What more could you want? It’s normal to be envied.”
Georgina added: “Sometimes we all need someone to remind us what truly matters.”
The couple first met in 2016 and became engaged last year. They share daughters Alana Martina, eight, and Bella Esmeralda, four, while Georgina is also helping to raise Ronaldo’s three older children, Cristiano Jr and twins Eva Maria and Mateo.
The couple suffered heartbreak in 2022 when their son Angel, Bella’s twin brother, died during childbirth.
Addressing the scrutiny she receives over her appearance, Georgina insisted she was proud of her body and the way it had changed throughout her life.
“My body will change, as all women’s bodies do,” she wrote. “And I hope it continues to do so for many years, because that will mean I’m still alive.”
She continued: “These past few days I’ve seen all kinds of comments about some photos of me on a boat. Some people are commenting on my body, others are defending me.”
Georgina said the attention was nothing new, adding: “The funny thing is, this happens every summer. Every year my body makes the news again.
“And then I wonder… where is the standard? Who decides what the ‘right’ body is? Do we really still think happiness has a size?”
She finished her defiant message by declaring: “I love my curves. I love the freedom to live in the body I choose. In the body that supports me, that has allowed me to embrace, create life, fall, and get back up.
“A body that deserves respect, love, and gratitude in all its versions.”
