He’s one of the UK’s beloved and successful actors, but it turns out talent runs in Daniel Craig’s family.
The star has been a staple on screens for years. From stints in Knives Out, Star Wars and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo to playing legendary secret agent James Bond across five films, Daniel has remained booked and busy in recent years.
Away from the movie sets and film premieres, Daniel is a proud dad to daughter Ella, whom he shares with ex-wife Fiona Loudon. After his split from Fiona, Daniel married Rachel Weisz, with whom he has another daughter Grace.
And just like her famous dad, Ella has followed in his acting footsteps. She told the Berkshire Eagle in 2018: “I really just want to be respected as a quality actress and do really good quality work.”
Ella’s acting credits include appearances in the films Maneater and Trauma Is a Time Machine. She’s also performed on stage too, starring in theatre productions like Women of Will and Twelfth Night.
Ella has also publicly shown support for her dad Daniel, including his performance as the legendary action hero James Bond. The actress and artist shared a photo of her and her father at the No Time to Die premiere.
“I sat in the royal box and got to watch my Pops kick a**e as Bond for the last time,” she wrote in the caption before adding: “I’m pretty f—— proud. 17 years. Goodness. Unbelievably thankful. So much love to the Bond family and a huge congratulations.”
As well as acting, Ella is also a model and has been featured in Vogue and L’Officiel. In 2023, she attended New York Fashion Week and the Los Angeles Fashion Awards the year before as well.
In a recent interview with Achtung Mode magazine Ella spoke about some of the things she’s learned from working in the industry so far. She explained: “The biggest lesson I’ve learnt is to expect the unexpected. Each job is different which makes it impossible to ever stop learning.”
When asked if she preferred modeling or acting, Ella replied: “As long as there is a story to be told, I’m happy to tell it in whatever form.”
Meanwhile in 2021, Daniel revealed he would be leaving behind very little inheritance for his children, despite making hundreds of millions from his movies. He told Candis Magazine that he finds inheritance “distasteful”.
Daniel said: “I don’t want to leave great sums to the next generation. I think inheritance is quite distasteful. My philosophy is: get rid of it or give it away before you go.”
