Paddy McGuinness is said to be ‘deliriously happy’ and ‘dating’ again after he was spotted with a BBC Radio Two publicist in London recently, following his split from Christine McGuinness
Paddy McGuinness is thought to be dating a BBC publicist after the two were spotted together in London. The TV star, who still lives with ex-wife Christine McGuinness, was spotted with Emma Carey, a publicist for BBC Radio Two.
Paddy, 52, was pictured in London with Emma. He wore a fitted black top and black trousers while Emma wore a chic halter neck top. She matched Paddy by also wearing black.
In one picture, it looked as though Emma had her arm around Paddy. The publicist has been working for BBC Radio Two since July 2025 and has previously worked for BBC Radio One, Warner Brothers and Sony. She and Paddy were thought to have been having a meal together at the Rosewood Hotel.
The Sun quoted a source who said that Emma and Paddy were “incredibly comfortable together” and that he was “deliriously happy”. They added: “Fans will be thrilled to see him so happy after the anguish of his marriage split with Christine. It’s easy to see why he’s so smitten with Emma by his side. Paddy looked like the cat that got the cream.”
Paddy was married to Christine McGuinness for 11 years. The two broke up in 2022 and their divorce was finalised two years later. The two still live together, along with their three children, in a mansion in Cheshire.
Speaking to Vicky Pattison on her podcast last year, Christine explained how dating works when they live together. She said: “We talk an awful lot and we’re very open.
“He has said to me when he’s been going on a date. We still live in the same house. But I think both of us right now we are very much in the same place, where we’re just like, we just don’t really know what to do or where to go.”
Christine is not thought to currently be dating anyone but she has been linked to various people since her divorce, including Chelcee Grimes, Nicola Adams and Roxanne Conway.
She has made it clear that she is not interested in dating men again and is focused on dating women.Speaking to Amy Spalding and Gareth Valentino on their LGBTQ podcast, It Started With A Kiss, she said: “I would love to have a wife one day, not like a legalised marriage, but like a blessing, a celebration of love and all of that, I would love to just be saying, this is my wife'”.
Explaining that she still wants to keep her romantic life and family life separate for the time being, she continued: “I don’t want to bring somebody into my personal life too quickly. I like the separate life. My family, my kids, my home is up there and then I come to London, step off that train, I can work, have fun, I can sleep in and I don’t need to worry about everything.”
The Mirror went to Paddy’s representatives and Emma Carey for comment.
