Anantapur: At least 20 passengers were seriously injured after an Eicher vehicle rammed into a private travel bus from behind on Pogururu Bridge in the early hours of Sunday.
The incident took place near Pogururu in Pamidi mandal of Anantapur district. The impact was so severe that both vehicles fell off the bridge.
Following the accident, police rushed to the spot and launched rescue operations. The injured passengers were pulled out of the bus and shifted to the Government Hospital in Pamidi for treatment.
Later, the injured were shifted to a hospital in Anantapur for further medical care. Further details regarding the accident are awaited.
