Shortly after making the comment, BBC Radio 2 presenter Rylan Clark revealed he was dating again, following his difficult divorce from Dan Neal

Rylan Clark recently said he was “a married man”, sparking speculation that he had secretly tied the knot with his partner, Kennedy Bates. The 37-year-old made the comment during a segment on This Morning, prompting host Ben Shephard to ask if he had discreetly wed during his trip to Vienna.

Swiftly clarifying his words, the former X Factor star said: “Not married, very happy, very content, living my fairground life.”

Following his comment, his 2024 appearance on Table Manners has been reshared on the podcast’s YouTube channel. During the show, Rylan was quizzed about his love life and his former marriage to Dan Neal. The former couple tied the knot in 2015 before divorcing six years later.

Following a difficult period after their break-up, Rylan eventually found love again with Kennedy, a fairground showman, who he went public with last year.

Speaking to Jessie and Lennie Ware on their podcast, the former X Factor star revealed the strict rule he would enforce should he marry a second time.

Asked if he would walk down the aisle again, he replied: “I think I’d marry again, yeah,” before revealing that it would have to be with “the right person and with a prenup, a hundred percent.”

Rylan went on to say he “wouldn’t have a wedding like I did before”, explaining: “My first wedding was at Braxted Park Estate, so it was a big and lavish, expensive wedding.”

The presenter also noted that he doesn’t speak to “half the people that were there” at that wedding, so he “wouldn’t do that again”.

“If I had another wedding, this time around, I would do something in London, because it’s my own town and I love London,” he added.

While open to potentially marrying again, Rylan recently admitted he remains apprehensive following his painful divorce from Dan.

Speaking to Vanessa Williams on his podcast Rylan: How to Be In Love last year, he shared: “I’ve had to do it once and once was enough for me. You still get that weird sharp pain every now and again.

“It’ll be something so stupid like, ‘Oh that glass looks like…’ and it’s, like, that little. I couldn’t imagine going through that twice, I don’t know how I’d fare,” he added.

Rylan has spoken openly about the breakdown he experienced following his separation, which came after he confessed to cheating during the earlier stages of their relationship.

Previously speaking to Jamie Laing on his Great Company podcast, he said: “I lost my speech. I lost my vision for a little bit. It was like having a really bad stroke.

“It was just so bizarre. And yeah, it took me months to go back to work,” he added.
