“On a recent trip to Poland, my wife and I were amused by the 1968 Omar Sharif movie, Mayerling, which also starred James Mason, disguised behind a huge mo,” recalls Alan Marel of North Curl Curl. “It was in the original English, but with the volume turned right down, and a Polish male basically reading all the parts in a dull monotone. There were Polish subtitles, and also a lady standing in the lower-right corner doing sign language, which didn’t make any sense at all unless included for illiterates. Also hilarious was watching Hogan’s Heroes in Germany, dubbed into German.”
