Jonathan Ross’ son Harvey looked completely unrecognisable as he stepped out with his parents for a rare public outing at the theatre on Tuesday night

Jonathan Ross’ son looked very different on a rare public outing this week. Harvey, 32, joined his famous father as they stepped out at Death Note The Musical on Tuesday, in London’s West End.

Broadcaster Jonathan, 65, shares Harvey with his screenwriter wife, Jane Goldman, 56. They also share daughters Betty, 35, and Honey, 29. But as they posed for pictures, Harvey looked worlds away from his former self, having shed his short blond hair for his first public outing in several years.

Alongside his father, Harvey was joined by his fiancée, Muna Silver, just over a year after Jonathan announced the couple’s engagement, as well as Jonathan’s wife, Jane.

Harvey and Muna both opted for matching black outfits, despite the blistering temperatures across the capital, while Jonathan chose a more relaxed look, with an open-buttoned shirt.

Jane looked dazzling in a floral dress for the outing as she battled the temperatures. Speaking last year, Jonathan disclosed that Harvey was actually engaged.

During an appearance on Jessie and Lennie Ware’s Table Manners podcast, he was asked if Harvey dressed as superheroes when he was younger. He said: “Not really. We raised them all in a kind of somewhat gender non-specific environment, so whatever they wanted to do.

“Harvey has got the longest hair in the family, and largely unwashed. He doesn’t wash it often because he’s part of that gang who think you shouldn’t use soaps!” Jonathan’s daughter, Honey, interrupted, adding: “He did just get engaged!”

Jonathan revealed: “They’re thinking of starting a family next year.” While Harvey doesn’t have a public social media account, Muna does and often showcases her photography skills.

Five years ago, she appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox with her soon-to-be in-laws. During her time on the show, she was filmed laughing along with Jonathan and Harvey’s jokes. The family sat down to watch the explicit drama Sex/Life, with Muna joking that it would be “fun” to watch with Jonathan.

She was later seen with the family during a group outing. Muna first appeared on Jonathan’s social media in 2018. Unlike Harvey, Jonathan and his wife Jane have shared insights into their own relationship.

The pair met when she was 16 at an event, and she was a young showbiz journalist. Two years later, the pair tied the knot. Jonathan was at the start of his career as a talk show host. “I met Jonathan at some sort of promotional event,” Jane previously told The Times.

She went on to add: “He’d just started his show The Last Resort. He’d only been doing it for two weeks, I think.” Their daughter, Honey, is also very active publicly and often documents her life on social media, including life with partner Gav Murphy.

The pair often share loved-up snaps on their respective Instagram pages. Honey has followed in her mother’s footsteps and also works as a screenwriter. Meanwhile, Betty suffers from a string of chronic health issues, including fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome, as well as postural tachycardia syndrome, meaning her heart rockets to an abnormal rate after sitting or standing.
