EXCLUSIVE: Onlookers tell the Mirror Katie Price went further than ‘just flirting’ with Jake Quickenden while at an awards ceremony in Manchester last night

Katie Price did not hold back when flirting with Jake Quickenden last night, asking him, “Am I your type or not?” The flustered This Morning star replied: “You’re a beautiful lady.” Initial reports suggested Katie, 48, ‘flirted’ with Jake, 37, – who announced he split with his wife Sophie Church in May – while she presented the HBA Choice Award gong at the Hair and Beauty Awards in Manchester which Jake was hosting.
However, an insider at the event tells the Mirror it went much further than a one-off exchange.
Our source says: “Katie was flirting a lot with Jake and jokingly propositioning him. There was a lot of back and forth, and there’s a certain rapport between them. They had a hug when he came off stage and had a giggle together.”
Beauty industry professionals witnessed mum-of-five Katie tell Jake that This Morning co-star Ben Shepherd suggested Jake would ‘suit’ her.
Katie said: “Are you blowing me out? Is that a yes or a no? I’m putting you on the spot.” Jake replied: “You are.”
Pushing for an answer, Katie asked if she was dad-of-two Jake’s type. He responded: “You’re a beautiful lady, Kate, get on with the awards!”
But it now appears the flirting did not end there and the duo exchanged jokes all night with Jake even making the night ‘all about Katie.’
The source adds: “Jake was hosting and he called the night the Katie Price show. When she arrived people were falling over themselves for her. Jake gave lots of nods to her throughout his speech and she answered back.
“Her table was close to the stage and so she was able to engage in plenty of banter which went back and forth. It was very much both sides.”
Katie was joined by daughter Princess Andres as the pair supported Junior as he performed on the night.
The former glamour model has not been wearing her engagement ring recently. Earlier this week she partied in Ibiza with Wayne Lineker and eldest son, Harvey, without her ring on and it remains off.
The move has sparked speculation her fourth marriage to Lee Andrews could be over. When the Mirror approached Katie’s rep on Thursday to ask for clarification on whether she was still with Lee, 43.
The reply was “no comment”. She has failed to acknowledge her husband publicly on social media in six weeks which is out of character for the couple.
Despite her personal woes, our onlooker claims Katie was ‘on form’ and the crowd was ‘lining up’ for pictures with her.
Other celebrities in attendance included Love Island alumni Liberty Poole, and TOWIE couple Jordan Brook and Sophie Kasaei.
HBA founder Sophie Lux said: “It was an incredible night and I couldn’t have been happier with how everything came together.”
The Mirror approached representatives for Katie Price and Jake Quickenden for comment.
