Thomas Randolph’s marital history spans nearly five decades and forms the core of the shows based on him. Court records and published reports identify his six wives as Kathryn Thomas, Becky Gault, Gayna Allmon, Francis Randolph, Leona Stapleton, and Sharon Causse.

Thomas Randolph’s fifth wife was Leona Stapleton, who reportedly died of cancer while married to Randolph. The least is publicly known about this marriage, and her death was not initially treated as suspicious.
His sixth and final marriage was to Sharon Causse, whom he married in the mid-2000s. Causse was shot and killed in their Las Vegas home in May 2008 in what Randolph described as a home invasion by an intruder, Michael Miller. Randolph said he shot Miller after finding Miller had killed Causse.
Prosecutors argued that Thomas Randolph had hired Miller to kill Causse and then killed Miller to make it look like self-defense, pointing to a USD 300,000 life insurance policy he collected. That case led to Thomas’s conviction in 2017, which was overturned by the Nevada Supreme Court, and then to a second conviction in 2023 that resulted in a 60-year prison sentence.
