Clarkson’s Farm’s ‘bird lady’ Hannah Bourne-Taylor left fans floored as she showed off her cheeky cake smash when she recently celebrated her birthday.
As series five of Clarkson’s Farm premiered on Amazon Prime back in June, fans were delighted as Jeremy Clarkson invited a new face to join the crew – award-winning bird campaigner Hannah Bourne-Taylor. The expert joined Clarkson as he discovered the various birds he had living on his farm. Hannah swiftly won over viewers, with audiences left astounded by her remarkable expertise on all manner of birds and her ability to identify them purely from their calls. Following the series finale, Hannah has kept her now 239,000 Instagram followers informed with fascinating bird facts, including guidance on caring for them during the record-breaking summer heatwave.
However, fans were recently stunned after discovering Hannah turned 40 on September 12. At the weekend, she uploaded footage to mark the milestone where she accepted a dare to plunge her face into birthday cake, something she did immediately without any hesitation, prompting hysterics from those filming.
Dressed in a short, red dress, Hannah hopped onto the kitchen worktop before burying her face in the cake and erupting into giggles. She was subsequently spotted tucking into the cake, her face still covered in icing.
Earlier that day, Hannah had chosen to hint at her age by drawing comparisons with the lifespans of different bird species. In her post, Hannah wrote: “It’s my birthday, so to celebrate being alive, I’m going to talk about bird ages.”
In the video, she explained that crows can live up to 20 years, while most common garden birds, such as blackbirds and robins, typically survive for around five years.
“My favourite bird was swift, the oldest in record was 22 which is an incredible life if you think about it,” she continued, before declaring ‘the winner’ to be the albatross, which generally lives between 30 and 60 years in their natural habitat. Hannah then revealed they are “a lot older” than her.
Fans swiftly flooded the comments section with birthday greetings, with many stunned to discover the TV personality had reached her forties.
“Happy cake smash Hannah! No way you’re 40!” one bewildered admirer wrote.
“Surely not 40 years of age,” another questioned.
“Happy birthday! I cannot believe you’re 40! ! I’m guessing you have an awful painting in your attic,” a third person commented, cheekily alluding to the Picture of Dorian Grey, where the portrait of the titular character ages while the character himself remains youthful.
Another follower remarked: “I’m sorry, you’re 40?! I literally don’t believe that comment. I’m absolutely astounded. I thought you were about 25! What the f**k! Happy birthday!”
