Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan thanked the Central Government for approving the construction of a road connecting the Kopparthy Industrial Area with the Kadapa Bypass, and allocating ₹304.44 crore for the project.
The Kopparthy – Kadapa Bypass connectivity will strengthen access to the Kopparthy Industrial Area, a key node of the Vizag – Chennai Industrial Corridor, enabling smoother industrial movement and unlocking new opportunities for investment, jobs and commerce in Rayalaseema, he said in a post shared on X in response to the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari announcing the allocation on Friday.
Pawan Kalyan thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Gadkari for the funds. He also expressed gratitude for the Centre’s continued support to Andhra Pradesh’s infrastructure and industrial development.
Pawan Kalyan said the Kopparthy–Kadapa Bypass connectivity would help industrial growth in Rayalaseema. He noted that Kopparthy is a key node in the Visakhapatnam–Chennai Industrial Corridor.
Once the new road opens, he said, travel to the Kopparthy Industrial Area and the movement of industrial goods will become easier. This is expected to create a more favourable climate for investment in Rayalaseema, along with more job opportunities and greater commercial activity in the region.
